This may sound like bad news if you're planning to rent a house in El Paso. But the flip side of the coin is that the cost of living here is so inexpensive that rent prices don't even begin to approach those of many other parts of the country. You'll easily be able to find a three bedroom home for less than $1500 a month, and it's still not unheard of to find a nice two bedroom duplex in the older parts of town for as low $500. Expect rent prices in areas surrounding Fort Bliss to rise more quickly as the base expands its operations.
