"Best Machaca in El Paso"
by Rachel
(El Paso, TX)
Ask ex-pat El Pasoans where they'd head for dinner after stepping off the plane in their hometown for a visit. Chances are, Kiki's Mexican restaurant (2719 N Piedras) is at the top of the list.
The service is friendly. The beer is cold. And then there's the machaca. This local favorite combines brisket, eggs, chiles, and tomatoes in an indescribably delicious mix. If you're feeling adventurous, you can order crab machaca - my personal favorite.
Kiki's is one of those El Paso gems: nothing fancy, kind of a hole-in-the wall. Still, there's a cozy ambience to the place. One visit and you're sure to join the ranks of die-hard regulars.
